Technical Foundation
myBillTracker is built on a modern, production-ready stack. NextJS drives the architecture with server-side rendering and a clean app router structure, while Tailwind CSS handles a responsive layout system built on consistent spacing, contrast, and typographic hierarchy. The visual design is intentionally minimal — letting the data speak rather than decorating around it.
Structured components and a two-column dashboard layout create rhythm across the interface, scaling gracefully from desktop down to mobile without layout compromises.
Purposeful Architecture
The application is structured to guide users naturally from authentication into action. Supabase handles auth, session persistence, and cloud storage through a secure client-server setup, with Row Level Security ensuring every user only ever touches their own data. The step-based bill entry flow, inline validation, and contextual success and error messaging all work together to reduce friction and keep interactions clear.
Each layer of the stack was chosen deliberately — not for complexity, but because it earns its place.
